What is Extractions?

Extractions are needed when your teeth cannot be saved . Local anaesthetic will be  administeredand your tooth removed when the area is numb.At white 32 , we practice painless dentistry and make sure your  extraction procedure goes as comfortable as possible.

Precautions after extraction :

  1. Do not rinse or gargle 24 hours after extraction to avoid dislodging the blood clot from the extraction site.
  2. Eat and drink room temperature or cold food for the next 24 hours.
  3. Do not use straw while drinking for 24 hours.
  4. Keep pressure on the extraction site by biting on the gauze for 10 minutes after extraction.
  5. Do not smoke and drink alcohol for the next 3 days.

Complications after extraction

1. Continuos Bleeding

– Do report back to us if your bleeding from the socket doesn’t stop after a few hours . Tinge of bleeding is normal for some cases . If there is continuos bleeding , put pressure on the extraction site using the gauze that is provided by the clinic.

2. Dry socket

– If the blood clot is dislodged from the socket , you will experience dry socket
complication . The extraction site would be painful, and you will feel throbbing pain .

3. Infection

– In some cases , you might get an infection . Please report back to us if you
experience any pus discharge or pain .
